2009 Loft Sails Switchblade Multi Cam Windsurfing Sail

The Switchblade is The Loft´s new two-cam slalom design, power-packed for top-end performance in less-than ideal conditions. High luff-elasticity provides enormous wind range. Effective downhaul trim range over 5cm switches this totally new design from a light wind powerhouse- to high-wind race performance.

The Switchblade is targeted at performance light wind/upwind, slalom, wide boards & raceboards (with centerboard).

“Very easy to rig (490rdm), the construction is a benchmark for the level of reinforcements. Overall performance is excellent, very close to a racing sail. This sail is all you need for almost all kinds of windsurfers. In jibes the cambers rotate well and the sail feels light. The sail has the power to pull the heaviest windsurfboard into planning. We also rigged the SB with a North Gold Sdm, changing the cambers (which is easy!) and the sail seemed perfect. The SB works in a big wind range, in combination with daggerboard windsurfboards (light, and very powerful). Switch Blade: A very nice surprise, suitable for all kinds of windsurfers.”
